Getting Things done with Rainlendar

Recently I read the Life Hackers article on Rainledar and have a chance to try out the combination of tools to help organize my working/personal life. The solution allows updating on the web as well as on my desktop computer and pretty well sychronized to my PDA.
The key components were:

- rainlendar on Windows based desktop computer
- vitalist to organize the tasks in David Allen’s Getting-Things-Done Style (web based)
- Google Calendar to organize appointments (web based)
- GCALDaemon to sync from Google Calendar to desktop
- iCal on Mac platform
- Missing Sync for Palm running Mac to sync with PDA
- Treo 650 to carry details while away from desk
The Paper-based PDA

Occassionally you may want to go back to basic and carry a paper based PDA instead of your Palm device or Pocket PC PDA. Remember to check out the PocketMod which is basically a flash program that allows you to design your paper PDA via drag and drop. The single sheet of paper is then fold into a slim down version of the paper PDA that you can carry around.
The program is still in beta so it may crash if you try to do complicated things like moving pages around, so be gentle and it could be fun.
